Witnesses have been left shocked on the sight

In January, 45 false killer whales and bottlenose dolphins have been stranded and euthanized after being washed up within the bay. The Department of Conservation warned that it might occur once more.

“Several shark species feed on whale[s] and dolphins, including their carcasses, and can be attracted to the site of whale strandings. These include sevengill sharks, blue sharks, tiger sharks, and great white sharks,” Clinton Duffy, a marine technical advisor mentioned in an announcement.
