Two lifeless as passenger aircraft crashes mid-air with plane over Kenya

Two individuals have been killed in a mid-air crash between a passenger aircraft and a coaching plane above Nairobi National Park, native police mentioned.

The pupil and coach on board the flying college plane had been killed within the crash, police mentioned, whereas these travelling within the greater aircraft are mentioned to be unhurt.

The collision occurred at 10.05 native time (07.05 GMT), with the smaller coaching aircraft despatched hurtling to the bottom.

The greater aircraft, which had 44 on board together with 5 crew members, was heading to the coastal resort city of Diani when crew reported a loud bang quickly after takeoff from Wilson Airport and determined to show again, the airline reported.

An investigation into the deadly incident has been launched, with police on the crash web site.

A police report mentioned the Dash 8 collided with a single-engine Cessna 172 operated by 99 Flying School with two individuals on board, who had been in a coaching session.

‘I can affirm a pupil and a coach (on the coaching plane)… died through the incident,’ Nairobi county police commander Adamson Bungei mentioned with out offering extra particulars.

Local airline Safarilink, which operates the passenger aircraft, mentioned these on its aircraft had been unhurt.
