Beans on toast are a staple inside British tradition – however this foodie has taken the grub to an entire different stage.
For most of us, we’ll often unfold the butter on a slice of toasted bred and bung some baked beans on high, together with a sprinkling of cheese for those who’re feeling fancy.
But, this one Brit was feeling additional decedent when erecting their low cost and cheerful meal. And they’ve now been branded a “genius” over on Reddit.

“Felt fancy today, a Crown of Beans on (in) Toast,” the unique poster defined in Casual UK subreddit. They went on to share the small print of their grand concoction.
The adventurous foodie continued: “Lunch today, does it get any more British than a Crown of Beans on Toast, sprinkle of cheddar cheese and some HP sauce.”
In the photograph of the ‘Crown of Beans on (in) Toast’, the experimental house chef scooped the baked beans right into a bowl and positioned toast lower into triangles across the fringe of the crockery. They then squirted some HP sauce and sprinkled cheese within the center for the extravagant tackle the dish.
Blown away by the modern concoction, many Brits fled to the feedback to reward the chef.
“That is genius,” one Brit wrote. They added: “Are you sure you’re not the next Heston Blumenthal?”
Another individual praised: “This is so simplicitally genius. How have I never done this? How have I never seen this? Am I even British now? Do I hand in my passport? I’m at a loss.”
While a 3rd voiced: “Before I come to UK people made jokes to me about UK cuisine, I think they would feel very stupid now if they could see this creation.”
Someone else famous: “This should be the next national dish. F*** the platinum pudding. A crown of beans on toast for the next coronation.”
Meanwhile, a fifth shared: “Bloke at work makes his beans on toast by cutting each piece of toast into eight pieces and then sprinkling them over the beans. Like oversized flat croutons.”
