Meghan Markle breaks silence on social media bullying whereas pregnant

Speaking on the panel, Meghan stated: “I keep my distance from it for my own wellbeing. But the bulk of the bullying and abuse I was experiencing in social media and online was when I was pregnant with Archie and with Lili. A newborn with each of them.

“And you simply take into consideration that and you actually wrap your head round why individuals could be so hateful. Well it’s not catty, it’s merciless. Why would you do this?”

Meghan later confirmed the vicious trolling left her feeling the need to “defend your baby” and recalled how “painful” the feedback have been, telling the panel she had not used social media in current months.

She added: “You can either succumb to it or nearly succumb to how painful that is. And maybe in some regards, because I was pregnant mammalian instinct kicked in and you do everything you can to protect your child and as a result, protect yourself too.”

Her feedback come as fellow Royal Family member Kate Middleton broke her social media silence after conspiracy theories on the Princess of Wales’ whereabouts ran rampant.

She took to X, previously Twitter, in what was her first public remark since her “disappearance”, placing to mattress a swathe of rumours about the place she was.
