A number one climate skilled has addressed claims {that a} “Beast from the East” snowstorm is heading to Britain subsequent week.
Jim Dale, Senior Meteorological Consultant at British Weather Services, advised the Daily Star snow is feasible over the approaching days.

Mr Dale mentioned: “Northern parts of the country – particularly Scotland and particularly the high ground and Highlands and Grampians – tend to still continue with the leftovers of winter now we’re in spring.

“So it’s not particularly unusual to get cold thrusts through the northern half of the country and that’s happening at the start of next week. We get an area of low pressure coming in [and] there’s modified polar air in situ. Any snow is likely to be over high ground in Scotland – the usual stuff.
“I do not see any huge snow occasions at this second in time. Obviously, it is a changeable feast as areas of low stress are available and exit and may ship inside a brief interval, however I’m not seeing that.
“There’s a fair amount of reasonably dry weather over the next few days, cold east wind – so it’s not a ‘Beast from the East’, it’s just an east wind.”

Going ahead, Mr Dale mentioned he expects the chilly climate “lag” from winter to be passed by the second half of this month, when the outlook seems “warmer”.
And with final month being confirmed as the most popular February on report globally (the ninth consecutive month to have damaged temperature information), he would not count on it to be too lengthy earlier than issues get sizzling.
Mr Dale mentioned: “Now we’re turning the corner, we get some changeable weather in between (winter and spring) and then we turn the heat up.
“I believe that we’ll see temperatures begin to ramp proper up in April time.” Mr Dale said he expects April to be “very heat to sizzling”.
