‘Wasted’ Jet2 passenger taunted with ‘cheerio’ as he stumbles off aircraft

A “wasted” passenger on a Jet2 flight stumbled off the aircraft to the tune of “cheerio” by holidaymakers satisfied to see the again of him.

A flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife needed to make an sudden cease in Portugal after a passenger was noticed vaping and inflicting a disturbance. Brits prepared for a slice of winter solar boarded LS727 at Edinburgh Airport this morning (Friday), for the 8.15am departure to Tenerife South Airport.

But the finances airline needed to change course and land at Porto Santo airport as a consequence of a person inflicting havoc onboard. A video from the flight reveals a person, who gave the impression to be drunk, stumbling within the aisle whereas air stewards spoke to him, studies Edinburgh Live.

The man, dressed all in black with a bag strap throughout his chest, was later escorted off the aircraft by Portuguese officers as different passengers cheered and chanted “cheerio.”

One witness stated the person was “acting like a fool” and began “vaping as soon as we took off”. Another added: “Later he was stumbling down the aisle. He looked utterly wasted.”

Another passenger praised the Jet2 workers, saying: “What a start to our holiday! Jet2 staff handled the situation very well!”

Apparently the offender was “walking up and down the aisle during landing and threatening the staff…arrested on the tarmac!”.
