A hunt for a person lined in blood has seen site visitors on the M20 come to a halt.
Drivers have been delayed from each instructions because of the look of a person “covered in blood”.
Delays have been seen on Junction 7 for the A249 Maidstone and Junction 8 for the A20 Ashford Road for Leeds Castle. A police spokesman confirmed officers have been referred to as following concern for a person seen between Junctions 7 and eight of the M20 close to Maidstone at 11.45am.

Members of the general public took to X, previously Twitter, and alleged to have interacted with the person who left blood smears on one automobile.
One particular person wrote a “guy covered in blood just tried getting in my car”. The unnamed determine claimed he “had been beaten up, he was just casually walking down the middle of the motorway. Tried breaking into my car as I drove off.”
Another particular person added: “Same happened to me. Was very confused as to what was going on but had the foresight to lock all the doors when we saw him approaching.”
A police spokesperson added: “Emergency services are at the scene and the motorway is currently closed in both directions while the incident is responded to. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes where possible.”
National Highways confirmed site visitors is shifting as of 1.30pm. The National Highways earlier warned motorists to keep away from the realm. The physique tweeted: “Traffic is currently stopped on the #M20 between J7 (#Maidstone) and J8 (#Hollingbourne) in both directions for an ongoing incident. Currently approx. 2 miles of congestion on approach both ways.”
