Ange Postecoglou went “completely ballistic” at his Tottenham players in a furious pitch-side rant against Chelsea.
The Australian saw his side go a goal down to their London rivals in their Premier League visit to Stamford Bridge on Thursday night. Trevoh Chalobah scored for the Blues with a superb back post header from a free-kick 24 minutes in in worrying scenes for Tottenham.
And Postecoglou could not hold back his fury towards the lacklustre Spurs stars, having been spotted losing his cool just ten minutes after conceding the opener. Cameras showed him berating Cristian Romero and Pape Matar Sarr in animated fashion the touchline.

He appeared to be shouting at them to not pass the ball backwards and instead be more positive while in possession. That prompted Sky Sports commentator Gary Neville to say: “He has snapped, Ange Postecoglou.”
And fans on social media agreed with the Mancunian’s assessment. “Ange Postecoglou goes absolutely ballistic!” one Spurs fan account tweeted.
Another replied: “His boys are terrible at football. I don’t blame him,” while a third added: “This club is a disgrace. They’ll break Ange.”
Others pointed out: “Don’t think I’ve seen Ange like this before,” and: “Good to see, exactly, STOP passing it backwards, it’s pathetic from us, we need to play our football!!”
Arsenal fans also replied by trolling: “Has he finally realised what he’s taken on?” and: “Big Ange has lost his head.”
Postecoglou would surely have given his players another scolding at half-time. But it made little difference as his side conceded from yet another set-piece in the 72nd minute, with Nicolas Jackson heading in the ball after it had hit the woodwork from a Cole Palmer free-kick.
It marked Spurs’ second league defeat to Chelsea this season, having faced a 4-1 drubbing at home in November. The north Londoners now sit in fifth place, seven points behind Aston Villa with just three games left.
