Luke Littler secured his place in the Premier League darts play-offs by overcoming Nathan Aspinall, Michael Smith and Rob Cross in the final to secure his fourth night win.
The 17-year-old narrowly edged Aspinall 6-5 and battered Smith 6-1 in the semi-final to book a meeting with Voltage in the final. It looked like a perfectly set-up meeting in Aberdeen, as Cross had beaten Michael van Gerwen and world champion Luke Humphries in his respective rounds.
Yet, Littler came flying out of the blocks by breaking Cross in the first game with an amazing 14-dart finish. But Cross immediately broke back with an outstanding 117 check-out to level the match.

When Cross won the third leg to make it 2-1, Littler struggled to find his trebles, until he rattled a 107 finish to keep the score on throw. He then broke Cross for a second time to edge ahead again, only to watch Voltage respond with another immediate break of throw.
For a third time, Littler broke Cross to throw for the match and the night. Littler missed a match dart by narrowly missing a bullseye which would have finished off a 125 finish.

Cross was the width of a wire away from forcing a deciding leg, but he landed the wrong side of the wire in his excellent attempt of a 126 finish.
Littler, who had been jeered by the hostile Aberdeen spectators, calmly stepped on to the oche to hit a five and his beloved double 10 to secure a 6-4 win and back-to-back night wins for the second time this season.
Littler proved, once again, he can find his best game while relentlessly jeered by the crowd. One week previously, Littler embraced the Liverpool jeers and won his third Premier League night to a back-drop of boos and whistles.
When Littler hit double 10 to secure another win over Aspinall, Littler charged over to a section of fans to his right and held his index finger to his lips as if to tell them to be quiet. If his clash against Aspinall was on a knife-edge then his victory over Smith in the semi-finals was a complete pulverising.
Smith has got the better of Littler more times than anybody else in the Premier League this season. But Littler ensured the 2023 World Champion had no chance, destroying him 6-1 with a truly raucous performance.
Having beaten him the previous week, Cross was a huge underdog, despite dispatching Van Gerwen and Humphries. Yet, Littler was just too good and he went on to close out the match.
