A drunk and “absolutely raging” uncle ruined his niece’s wedding rehearsal when he tore off his shirt and began threatening his family and fellow guests after a “wee fallout” with the groom.
After downing “eight to nine” pints of cider, Scotsman David Cullen became the wedding guest from hell as he threatened to “chew the face off” his nephew-in-law, ripped his shirt off yelling “I’m a hard man” and even attacked his niece, the bride.
The incident took place at the Glyngynwydd Wedding Barn venue near Llangurign, Powys last September during Daniel and Alison Jones’s wedding weekend.

The 51-year-old from Perth, who claims he doesn’t usually drink, had been helped back to his accommodation by his sister, Jacqueline Waugh, after he hurt his knee during a heavy session.
Yet his sister saw him return to the communal area to shout at people, Prosecutor Stephen Davies told the Welshpool Magistrates’ Court, adding: “He made threats to Daniel Jones, telling him ‘I’ll carve your face up and chew your face off.”
The truck driver was described as “absolutely raging” and ‘jumpy” as he repeatedly threatened to kill Daniel and then punched a guest.
At one point, David “ripped off his shirt and began strutting around the room” and was heard yelling “come out if you want a fight, I am a hard man”.
He then threatened to break his sister’s jaw and pushed her over. Bride Alison said he threatened her as well.
Defending Rob Hantratty told the court that David’s behaviour was “entirely out of character”, and had broken his leg during the wedding weekend.
He said: “There had been a lot of drinking going on over the two days.
“He [David] doesn’t drink often as he’s a lorry driver. He had more to drink than he could cope with, but so had many others. He is very embarrassed and remorseful.”
He added: “It was an unpleasant incident but it was mainly injury to feelings, he was the only one who suffered an actual physical injury. Emotions were running high.”
