Flatmates often like to play pranks on each other now and again.
And one person pulled off a hilarious gag on their roomie recently – all based around the late Princess Diana.
The person said their male flatmate, named Thom, had asked them to clean up around the house as they were ‘planning to bring a date back’. However, their pal decided to pull a little trick on them too.

A screenshot of a message they sent to someone read: “My flatmate has asked me to clean up because he’s bringing a date back. I’ve made a shrine to Princess Diana in his room.”
A photo of the ‘shrine’ was seen below, with it including framed pictures of Diana, surrounded by love hearts and with the phrase ‘Gone but not forgotten’. There was also a picture of the guy on one side and Diana on the other, with it reading: “Thom and Diana, lovers separated by time and circumstance.”
The photos were surrounded by lit candles with flowers seen behind them.
The messages, which were shared by popular X (Twitter) account @NoContextBrits, have gone viral after being shared this week, racking up more than 221,000 views.
One person called the flatmate who played the prank a “legend”, while someone else said the joke was “elite level”. A third meanwhile joked: “Who needs enemies when you can have friends?”
The news follows another prank the hit headlines a few years ago where a lad covered his female student housemate’s whole room with tin foil – and he didn’t even forget her sex toy.
