The reasoning from King Charles as to why he’s refused to meet his own son Prince Harry has been ridiculed.
Earlier this week it is was revealed that King Charles won’t be meeting up with his son. A Royal spokesman confirmed that it would “not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.”
They added: “The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.” It comes after Harry flew in from California for a service at St Paul’s Cathedral to mark 10 years of his Invictus Games.

However – and it’s a big “however” – a leading Royal expert has claimed that the excuse is “impossible” to believe because of one very simple reason.
Writing for news.com.au, Daniela Esler said: “This excuse – a ‘full programme’ – is nearly impossible to buy given that Harry’s trip had been being discussed for months now. It’s impossible to see how, if the King really did want to spend some quality minutes of light shoulder patting and trying to wear his best listening face with Harry he could not have swung it, diary-wise.
“His Majesty isn’t exactly champing at the bit to spend 29-minutes or so, as he did in February, with Harry or to hear first hand about how Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex’s jam-making ventures are progressing.
“Any sort of meeting between the King and the duke would be liable to knock all the buoyant, bouncy PR about His Majesty back at making small talk with the great unwashed off of the front pages and we can’t have that now can we?”
The comments come just 24 hours after another expert – Jonathan Sacerdoti – told the Daily Star that it should actually be Prince Harry who moves “Heaven and Earth” to spend him with his cancer-recovering father, regardless of what the spokesman for the King says about being “too busy”.
