A shop owner is over the moon after stumbling upon what he believes to be a fresh ‘Banksy‘ masterpiece, featuring Star Wars’ C3PO and a Dalek from Doctor Who, on his premises.
Martin Ponting, who runs The Vintage Room in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, was gobsmacked to discover the potential Banksy artwork had appeared on his business premises overnight while he was away for the bank holiday weekend.
Upon returning late Monday night (May 6), Martin woke up Tuesday morning to find an intriguing piece of graffiti adorning the alleyway of his shop.

The artwork depicts C3PO reprimanding a Dalek for trying to squeeze through a window, with the caption: “I told you you wouldn’t fit! Now there are people looking”.
Baffled by the unexpected addition, Martin dashed back into his antiques store and immediately rang his mates.
Recounting the discovery, Martin said: “I went away for the weekend and I came back on Monday night but I didn’t see it as it was dark. I didn’t even think to look down the blooming alleyway. I spotted it on Tuesday morning and I initially thought what on earth has happened here.”
Convinced that the artwork is the handiwork of the elusive street artist Banksy, Martin shared: “I have covered it up for now with some boards and tables. I think it could be a Banksy, I would say it has all the hallmarks of being a piece of his work. I am elated about it because I think it could be a Banksy.”
The most recent confirmed work by Banksy was a mural in Finsbury Park, London, which cleverly used green paint sprayed behind a pruned tree to mimic foliage.
