A body-positive influencer has hit back at cruel trolls after they mocked her over her looks.
Ariella Nyssa, who has more than 730,000 followers on Instagram, has spoken out about the nasty comments she receives about her appearance. The model, who often shares self-love advice, has been called names after showing off her body online.
Undeterred, Ariella defiantly stripped down to a bikini and showed off her “imperfections” in a series of unedited snaps showing her relaxed body – highlighting her natural tummy, curves and cellulite.

She captioned the pics: “The sun was really bright this day when I took these. I thought ‘oooo this could be a cute pic!’ When I saw them later on all I could notice were my biggest insecurities.
“You know me though, all the more to post these beautiful images! Because even though I may not see the beauty at first, I know it’s there. And I know that beauty is always apart of me. No matter how I feel on the day.”
Ariella admitted she had been receiving “a lot” of hate comments from men recently. She even said she had been left in tears following the “overwhelming” remarks.
“I’m not going to let some randoms on the internet ruin my happiness,” she added. “I’m not going to be embarrassed of my body. I’m not going to hide away.
“I’m going to keep on posting these pictures. I’m going to keep on celebrating my body. And I’m going to keep on inspiring others to do the same.”
Her fans were quick to respond to her post, praising her courage. One follower responded: “I saw this and stopped immediately and thought ‘finally, a woman who looks like a woman.’
“Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing yourself with us you’re such a beautiful reminder in the midst of what social media expectations of what we ‘should be’, and what’s deemed ‘beautiful’. This. This is beautiful.”
Another chimed in: “I promise you those men commenting nasty things would never pull a girl like you. When I’m getting down on myself I imagine what my 10-year-old and 80-year-old me would think of me now, and both are so impressed and saying ‘wow you are so beautiful’.
“You’re a gorgeous girlie, thanks for being your authentic self on a cruel internet.”
A third fan commented: “I noticed your stomach at first and thought it looks like mine when I lie down. Thank you for being real and beautiful.”
Meanwhile, another admirer chimed in: “The fact that someone who is absolutely gorgeous as you still feels insecure is a real shame on our society. Trust me, every piece of you is beautiful.”
