Hilarious second couple’s gender reveal celebration goes horribly flawed

A couple’s gender reveal took a very unexpected turn – with the hilarious moment caught on camera.

Franz-Geoffrey Ordonia and girlfriend Leilani Magaoay had gathered their friends and family for the party in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The announcement was tailored specifically for fitness enthusiast Franz as he dropped heavy weights onto bags of colored powder which would reveal if the baby was a boy or girl.

But things did not go to plan.

Leilani screamed with excitement as blue dust spurted out but, in an unfortunate twist, Lila Wong, who was sitting in the front row, got a face full of dye 

In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 31.5 million times, the parents-to-be can be seen standing in front of an excitable crowd.

Franz bends down to grasp the barbell before slamming it down to the ground to burst the bags.

Leilani screams with excitement as blue dust spurts out but, in an unfortunate twist, Lila Wong, who was sitting in the front row, gets a face full of dye.

The blue cloud covers Lila before she begins rubbing the powder from her eyes and mouth.

Thankfully, she saw the funny side with Franz and Leilani also left in fits of giggles at the bizarre sight. 

The clip was soon flooded with comments as dozens piled in to share their own witty remarks.

One person joked that she was sat in the ‘splash zone’ as another wrote: ‘She was the gender reveal.’

Others described her as being a ‘real trooper,’ as one person wrote: ‘I love how she still lets them have their moment together, and she didn’t scream, or get up, make a scene, even though she was fighting for her life – she sat quietly fighting for her life.’

Following the widespread interest in the event, Leilani later posted a clip from Lila’s own point of view from the moment of impact.
