Earlier this week, top security agency Interpol issued a mobster who escaped from jail in a shocking prison van ambush dubbed “The Fly” with a Red Notice.
In the shocking ambush, three prison officers were shot dead allowing for the escape of the fugitive detainee, Mohamed Amra, who is known to French courts for drug trafficking. At the time of the attack, the detainee who was incarcerated at the Évreux remand center in the town of the same name in Normandy, was being extracted to go to the Rouen judicial court on a “secret route”.
And having now escaped, the world has been put on notice to find and detain the bloke. But he’s not alone . . .

Interpol’s most wanted list currently features 12 Brits from the notorious White Widow terrorist to a neighbour killer. The international policing agency, tasked with tracking down criminals globally, only ever issues Red Notices for seriously dangerous individuals, with around 6,800 criminals on its list.
Among the most infamous Brits is Samantha Lewthwaite, dubbed the White Widow. She is sought in Kenya on terrorism charges and is the widow of 7/7 London bomber Germaine Lindsay. Lewthwaite is accused of causing the deaths of over 400 people and is linked to several terror attacks, including the Westgate shopping mall bombing in Nairobi which resulted in 71 fatalities and 200 injuries.
An arrest warrant was issued in 2012, and she is still believed to be roaming somewhere in Africa, avoiding capture. Another woman on the list is Arti Dhir, 59, born in Kenya but holds British citizenship.

Ex-Heathrow baggage handler Ms Dhir and her husband are suspected to have hired a hitman to murder their son in India, which also led to the death of Gopal Sejani’s brother-in-law, all for an insurance payout. She is currently at large in London, despite being wanted in India. UK courts have refused to extradite her to India due to concerns over breaching Article 3 of the European Convention of Human Rights, despite an active Red Notice.
It was reported last year that she is currently residing in a council flat in West London. Meanwhile, Harris John Italo Binotti is wanted in Myanmar. The 31-year-old Scot is sought for the alleged murder of Gary Ferguson, who was killed in November 2016. The Scottish Sun located him in a Glasgow flat in 2020, but he has since disappeared.
They reported: “When asked how it felt to still be wanted for murder by Interpol, he locked the motor and fled back inside. He did not show face again for the rest of the day. By dawn the next morning, Binotti’s car had vanished from the street. But it was later spotted behind his mum Helen Stockbridge’s house in Dumfries. There was no response at the family home.”

Robert Timmins, 70, has been on the run since 2011 and is wanted in Estonia. Reports from the time suggest he was being pursued for the death of a neighbour in the town of Kuremae.
Daren Michael Elarmo is wanted in the United States on two counts of kidnapping with the intent to commit a lewd act upon a child, and seven counts of oral copulation with a person under the age of 14. His current whereabouts are unknown.
Also on the list is Masood Ul Haq. Despite holding dual British and Pakistani nationality, the 48-year-old is sought by Pakistan. He is wanted for terrorism charges, with allegations of involvement in planning terrorist activities. Claims also suggest he was the leader of a banned terrorist organisation though it’s unclear which one.

He is characterised by a cut mark on his right hand and a slight limp when walking. His last known location was not disclosed.
Mohammed Ali Ege is another individual sought in India, facing multiple charges including cheating, forgery for the purpose of cheating, causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or providing false information to shield an offender, and harbouring an offender.
A further appeal for his arrest was made in April in relation to the death of 17 year old Aamr Siddiqi in Cardiff in April, 2010 although this is not part of why he is wanted in India. His current location remains unknown. Asif Iqbal Mohammed Memon is also wanted in India on money laundering charges. Notices have also been issued against his relatives Hajra and Junaid no sightings of them have been reported in at least three years.
Ibraheem Masood is a wanted man in Pakistan, facing terrorism charges for planning activities and “the nefarious designs against state and also heading banned organisations.”

Ramesh Philippe Dusoruth is sought after in Bermuda for three counts of providing false information to the Bermudan Monetary Authority, one count of fraud and one count of removing criminal property.
John Collin has been on the radar for several years, with officials in Malaysia tirelessly trying to locate him. He is due to face charges of murder and culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Lastly, British national Ahmad Omar Saeed Sheikh, from Wanstead, in east London, was handed a death sentence in 2002 for the murder and abduction of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. After spending 18 years in jail awaiting the result of an appeal, he was released in January 2021.
Despite this, he remains on the Interpol list with the United States insisting on his capture.
