Erik ten Hag yanked Bruno Fernandes away mid-chat as the Manchester United ace hinted at his future during a Sky Sports interview.
The Dutch gaffer, 54, interrupted Fernandes’ telly talk just as he was spilling the beans on his stay at Old Trafford. The midfield maestro’s future has been the talk of the town recently, with Bayern Munich reportedly eyeing him up and Cristiano Ronaldo supposedly eager for a reunion at Al-Nassr.
With only two years left on his deal with the Red Devils, when quizzed by Sky Sports about sticking around, the 29-year-old said: “I will be. The club needs to want me. The club wants me to be a part of the future.

Fernandes had been back to his very best against the Magpies, but before Ten Hag whisked him away, he faced the question of whether he had something to prove after a less than stellar season for the squad, reports the Mirror.
He said: “It doesn’t exist, a captain’s performance, just a team performance. A player has to do the best for the team and I’m not different than anyone because I have the armband. The armband doesn’t give you the responsibility of doing better performances. The chest does that.
“I try always to do my best as I know my teammates always try their best and we always try to do the best for the club. And no one hides that we play for a big club and we have to lift our standards every game.”

Fernandes is now setting his sights on making an impact in the Red Devils’ final two matches of the season. United are set to face Brighton in their last league match of the season, with their European football aspirations hanging by a thread.
If they want to secure a European spot through the league next season, they need to at least outperform Newcastle’s final result. Then all attention will be on Wembley for a second consecutive FA Cup final against Manchester City.
