‘All of boxing’s greats are in Saudi – Tyson Fury will be a part of them with Usyk win’

The greats of the heavyweight world are in Saudi Arabia this week and Tyson Fury will join them WHEN he beats Oleksandr Usyk tonight.

The last pair to fight for the undisputed title in the sport’s glamour division are in town with Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield in Riyadh.

While Larry Holmes will also be in attendance at the Kingdom Arena for the first undisputed heavyweight title fight in 25 years.

This is the company Tyson is now keeping. He’s unbeaten, the lineal champion, the WBC title holder and, when he wins tonight, there will be no doubts that he is the best of this generation.

This is an iconic moment for the sport. This fight proves we are now putting on the best against the best.

These are the moments we live for. Even after all my years in the sport, I’m so excited for this fight. Tyson has come from the depths of addiction to reach the top of the world. His story is so inspiring.

Of course, so is Usyk’s. He must get the credit he deserves. The Ukrainian is an Olympic gold medal winner and a world amateur champion. He went and became undisputed cruiserweight champion.

Now he has three belts at heavyweight, he’s unbeaten and he’s got the better of Anthony Joshua twice and Derek Chisora, while he also comfortably beat Tony Bellew at cruiser.

That’s the task in front of Tyson tonight. It’s no easy one but when he wins it also shows how great he is because this is, in my view, the toughest fight of his career.

But to be great you have to take on these challenges. That’s what Tyson is doing. He’s never shirked one in his career. So many people claimed he was dodging Usyk. This was the man who went and fought feared puncher Deontay Wilder three times when others wouldn’t.

Now here he is ready and in tremendous shape to take on the Ukrainian. It’s going to be a special night and another for Tyson to show his brilliance.

Then he will be among the greats of the division where he no doubt belongs.
