Cristiano Ronaldo was mocked by Saudi Arabian supporters yet again during Al-Nassr‘s draw with Al-Hilal.
Ronaldo, 39, has enjoyed a stunning 18 months since moving to the Middle East, scoring 56 goals and adding 15 assists in just 61 games for Al-Nassr.
However, a regular feature of his time in the Saudi Pro League (SPL) has been rival fans taunting the Portuguese superstar over his long-running battle with Lionel Messi.
Messi and Ronaldo are the two standout stars of their generation, winning 13 Ballon d’Ors and numerous titles between them, but it has long been a divisive issue in the game over who is better.
And, on Friday night, Ronaldo was on the receiving end of more scornful chants during Al-Nassr’s 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal.

The night had started well for Ronaldo as he assisted Otavio’s goal within a minute which put his side ahead.
However, midway through the first half, the 39-year-old missed a huge chance as he scuffed an effort on goal from within the box.
Having been played in, Ronaldo attempted to finish with his left foot but got it all wrong as his shot ended up nearer to the corner flag than the goal, with the forward left with his hands on his head.
However, things were to get worse for him, with Aleksandar Mitrovic equalising with a 100th-minute penalty for Al-Hilal, who have already clinched the SPL title.
Then, in the final throes of the game, a clip on social media showed Ronaldo on his haunches on the ground looking demoralised.
To add to his misery, the Al-Hilal fans began to chant ‘Messi, Messi, Messi’ at him as he was left fuming.

Al-Nassr, who are managed by Portuguese coach Luis Castro, have the likes of Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, David Ospina, Aymeric Laporte and Alex Telles within their ranks.
Despite Friday’s frustrations, it has still been a decent campaign for the team, with Al-Nassr guaranteed to finish second in the SPL.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is in line to win the SPL Golden Boot, having netted 33 goals, which is six more than Mitrovic with just two league games to go.
