Tyson Fury’s web price and richest fighters rating after ‘£80m’ for Usyk combat

Tyson Fury will only rank seventh in the all-time fighters’ net worth list when he wakes up on Sunday – despite earning a Gypsy King’s ransom from his blockbuster clash with Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.

The heavyweight champion took home a £50m pay day from his showdown with UFC legend Francis Ngannou in October. And he’s set to earn much more than that on Saturday night.

A monster pay day will see the 35-year-old take home an estimated £80m – at least – from one of the biggest fights in boxing history. Perhaps he could have bought Morecambe Football Club after all.

The Brit is set to take home the lion’s share of the purse, with Usyk in line to earn £35m. The rivals could pocket a similar sum for their contracted rematch in October.

But Fury is vastly trailing on the all-time list of fighters’ net worth, according to ICE36, who compiled the list based on factors such as net worth, social media following, Google searches and most-watched and highest-grossing fights of all time to determine their ranking.

In ninth place on the list is a tie between Canadian UFC star Georges St-Pierre and boxing giants Gennady Golovkin and former opponent of Fury in their thrilling trilogy Deontay Wilder – all estimated to have a worth of £24,635,550.

UFC ace Khabib Nurmagomedov is eighth on the list in turn thanks to him being the second most followed fighter on the list with 35.1million – estimated to be worth £32,847,400. There is then a huge £100m jump to Fury in the next spot with around £133m.

Next on the list sees four fighters tied for joint fourth with Amir Khan, Oscar De Le Hoya, Canelo Alvarez and Conor McGregor all estimated to be worth £164,237,000 through their various world title fights.

The top two see Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather thanks to their world title fight in 2015 which saw Mayweather retain his unified light middleweight titles and therefore top the list. Pacquiao is estimated at £180m after he won 12 major titles throughout his glittering career.

But Mayweather’s worth dwarfs all comers with an astronomical estimated worth of £328million. The American was the highest-paid athlete according to Forbes in 2018 through his earnings in the ring and endorsements and sponsorship outside.
