Arsenal followers aghast as David Moyes provides warning about ‘stopping Man City’

Arsenal fans have been left furious at David Moyes’ comments ahead of West Ham’s clash with Manchester City.

The Gunners are potentially 90 minutes away from a first Premier League title since their invincibles season – but Pep Guardiola’s City stand in their way. Arsenal need City to slip up against West Ham, with the defending champions two points clear at the top.

And ahead of the clash, Moyes joked: “It’ll be difficult from stopping their Under 14s winning the title, I think! I said to the players we’ll do everything… proffesional would be the word I would use.”

David Moyes’ comments annoyed Arsenal fans

The Gunners have kicked on from their title-chasing campaign last time out – but they still haven’t been able to distance City. Guardiola’s side are one game away from an unprecedented four titles on the bounce – the first time any team has managed that in the Premier League era.

Speaking ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta said: “It’s really difficult to beat any opponent in the Premier League and when something is at stake as well, that task becomes more difficult,” Mikel added. “That’s not in our control, that’s for sure.

“We all know that they are a little bit closer because that’s one game less and they have to play at home, but they’re going play a really tough opponent.

“We have suffered this season [against West Ham] and over the last few seasons, it is really tough to beat them. I’m sure they’re going to be very at it and hopefully they can help us to achieve our dream.

“The beauty of this industry is that you come across people that you had experiences with in your life and it’s super important for you personally, and now you need something from them. Hopefully it will happen.”
