Tattoo lover who went blind for 3 weeks after inking eyeballs does it once more

Body mods have taken a wild turn, folks.

Australia’s self-proclaimed “most tattooed woman” has said that she was left without sight for a whopping three weeks after getting her peepers inked a striking shade of blue. And now, seven years later, she’s had the “agonising” procedure done again.

Amber Luke, dubbed ‘Dragon Girl’ in the online world, has splashed out an eye-watering £144,000 on tattoos and body modificaitons. Over the weekend, she took to Instagram to spill the beans on her latest eyeball colour-up.

The ink enthusiast had previously turned the whites of her eyes a vivid blue, but now she’s added swirling black patterns to give them an “oceanic” vibe, reports the Mirror.

On her @amberluke666 profile, Amber shared her tale of woe from seven years back when she first got her eyes tattooed, calling it the “most brutally torturous agony” she’s ever felt.

Her post read: “Let me tell you a story; one about personal perseverance and taking back what’s yours. I was blinded for 3 weeks upon my first ever body modification – 7 years ago now. That in itself was the most brutally torturous agony I have experienced to this date so far … then why the hell do it again you ask?

“For this exact moment – for this exact feeling and emotional connection. I have waited 7 long years to experience what I did yesterday … and I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else other than my good friend @gattoo_moreno – who I have been in contact with for 6 years now.”

“Gattoo ensured that I would be in the best hands – and he was 100% correct. From checking in at the procedure to aftercare and the validation of my pain throughout; it made me feel human again. I cannot thank you and your team enough for travelling here to meet me and letting me experience what I deserved 7 years ago.”

Amber paired her heartfelt message with a video zooming in on her eye, prompting a wave of support from her followers. Loads praised the new hue of her peepers, with some labelling her “brave” for giving it another shot after her past ordeal.

One fan gushed: “Looks so cool. I’m glad you’ve had a better experience this time.”

Another chimed in with: “This must feel so amazing for you! ! finally getting the experience you wanted and being able to put that traumatic experience in the past.”

WebMD warns that eyeball tattoos come with a heap of hazards, such as potential vision loss, infections, inflammation, and even the risk of losing the eyeball itself. For those looking for a less risky option, coloured contact lenses might just do the trick.
