Ryanair booted off ‘rowdy’ passengers after ‘sexual exercise in entrance of youngsters’

British tourists had to be escorted off the plane at Tenerife airport by police after glugging duty-free booze and abusing cabin crew during the flight.

Three men and two women allegedly caused havoc on the Ryanair flight from Liverpool to Tenerife last week.

The group – who aren’t believed to have known each other before the flight – are also accused of “engaging in sexual activity” in front of children on board.

According to Canarian Weekly, issues began when the group opened a bottle of booze from duty-free and were “rowdily” drinking from it shortly after take-off on Saturday (May 18).

They refused to stop when asked by cabin crew and began sharing the drink with two women sitting in front of them.

The group were “generally being rude to other passengers who were asking them to mind their language, as they had children, or sit down as they kept swaying and bumping in to them”, according to the paper.

They were warned by the pilot that if they didn’t calm down they would have to make an emergency landing in Lisbon, Portugal and would be escorted off the plane to make their own way to Tenerife. The group sat down but swapped seats so the women were sitting with the men.

They are then accused of “engaging in inappropriate sexual behaviour” despite children being on board. When they were asked to stop by passengers and cabin crew they were “met with a stream of abuse from the intoxicated group”.

The captain called police and the group were escorted off the plane by the cops. The paper said the five were arrested and told they could not travel back to the UK with Ryanair, adding: “Although we don’t know the final outcome, usually in this situation, they are not allowed to enter the island and have to return back to the UK, at their own cost, without having their holiday. In this situation, we all want those tourists to go home!”

It comes after thousands of Canary Islands residents took to the streets to protest against problems caused by mass tourism in the archipelago. And a leading Tenerife politician recently urged British tourists looking for cheap all-inclusive sunshine breaks to go to the Caribbean instead.
