Luke Littler hits nine-darter in ‘best second’ to win Prem closing v Humphries

Luke Littler hit an incredible nine-darter in the Premier League Darts final against Luke Humphries on his way to victory.

The 17-year-old produced darts from out of this world as he hit a nine-dart leg on his way to winning the final 11-7 against the world No.1 and reigning world champion.

Littler and Humphries returned from the break midway through the final at the O2 Arena in London all square at 5-5 before one of the most spectacular legs of darts ever seen ensued.

Both players emerged from the break by scoring 180s, as Littler added three more perfect darts before Humphries failed to add to his four T20s with his fifth dart of the leg.

All eyes turned back to Littler who hit T20 and then T19 before pinning D12 and sending the crowd into pandemonium. Littler punched the air in celebration as Humphries smiled and applauded his opponent before congratulating him.

Unsurprisingly, the repeat of the 2024 World Darts Championship final, which Humphries won, lived up to the billing to easily be one of the greatest finals ever seen in the history of darts despite the cagey opening legs from both players before the break.
