- Fans were confronted by eye-watering pint prices as they watched darts final
- Cheapest pint came in at £8.95 at the London venue, with some priced at £9.50
- Luke Littler hit a nine-darter en route to beating Luke Humphries 11-7 in the final
Darts fans have been left outraged at ‘disgusting’ beer prices after being forced to stump up nearly £10-a-pint at the O2.
A picture of the bar tariff at the London venue during Thursday night’s Premier League Darts final went viral on social media.
While the 14,000-strong crowd enjoyed some top quality oche action with 17-year-old sensation Luke Littler lifting the trophy, they were ripped off when it came to liquid refreshment.
The ‘cheapest’ pint – lagers Budweiser and Stella Artois, plus Camden Stout – came in at an eye-watering £8.95 a pint.
More ‘premium’ beers cost even more, with Camden Pale Ale priced at £9.25 and Camden Hells Lager at £9.50.

Cider wasn’t any cheaper, with Thatchers Gold priced at £8.95 and Thatchers Fusion a costly £9.25.
There was nothing to be gained by buying in bulk either, with the price of a two-pint glass exactly double the price of one pint.
Even a half-pint came in at £4.85 or more as thirsty darts fans were left paying through the nose.
One comment on X, formerly Twitter, read: ‘Those prices are very steep… disgusting really, especially served in plastic beakers.’
‘Disgusting prices them,’ opined another, while another tweet said: ‘Well, at least if you buy two, you only get to pay twice the price.’
Another user pointed out: ‘They have a captive audience of clowns whose rationale for attending the event is to turn up in fancy dress, drink industrial quantities of overpriced beer and chant inane songs while watching the action on a huge screen. Manna from heaven for the O2.’
Another tweet read: ‘Disgusting prices considering how everyone will chuck their pints in the air.’

Teenager Littler continued his astonishing progress by beating Luke Humphries – who beat him in the World Championship final – 11-7 to claim his first televised title.
World No 1 Humphries could only watch in admiration as Littler hit an incredible nine-darter en route to victory, his fourth of 2024. Littler pocketed prize money of £275,000.
Speaking to Sky Sports after winning, Littler said: ‘For all the doubters, you’re not doubting me any more! I’ve just picked up this.
‘It’s so good to win but in front of my family and my girlfriend! I don’t know what to do.
‘I’ve hit a nine-darter on the World Series and so did Phil [Taylor] – now I’ve hit one in the final here and so did he.’
