Mainoo aim leaves followers all asking identical query as Man Utd twice vs Man City

Football fans couldn’t believe their eyes when Kobbie Mainoo doubled unfancied Manchester United‘s lead to put the Red Devils 2-0 up against champions Manchester City in the FA Cup final.

And they were all left asking the same question: “Who are these players & what have they done with the real Man Utd team?” Pep Guardiola’s pre-match favourites had already gifted United one goal.

Garnacho beat a jittery City defence’s offside trap, timing his run to perfection to chase onto the ball. But he was beaten to a header by Josko Gvardiol, who tried to cushion it into the hands of Stefan Ortega, only for the German to be caught in no man’s land, and have to watch the ball loop over his head, allowing Garnacho to roll the ball into the net.

United were suddenly free-flowing and playing with a swagger unseen for the majority of Ten Hag’s tenure. And Mainoo, on the end of another move, curling the ball past Ortega, who was planted to the spot.

“Where has this Man Utd been all season,” one fan questioned as the Red Devils started to run riot at Wembley. While a second repeated the sentiment: “Where the f*** has this Man Utd all season?”

“Imagine our season without the injury crisis! Erik Ten Hag,” a third declared. And another added: “Best performance of the season so far. Just hope we keep it up!”
