Manchester United fans have branded INEOS “clowns” after the Red Devils won the FA Cup.
Erik ten Hag’s side upset the applecart on Saturday afternoon as they beat Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley. Ten Hag’s side were the better team for the clash, and some fans even questioned where that side had been all season.
And thanks to their free-flowing performance, some United supporters have changed their opinion on Ten Hag. According to The Guardian, Saturday could have been Ten Hag’s final game as the Red Devils boss – and fans have now slammed INEOS’ treatment of Ten Hag.

“Ten Hag saying he doesn’t know if he still has a job…. INEOS you are absolute clowns treating him like this. Two trophies in two years and a load of young talented players coming through. Shame on you,” one fan fumed.
“It would be a disgrace if he is sacked. We’ve finished better than Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle with this FA Cup win,” a second added. While a third said: “Shame on you INEOS. Shame on you!”

“Absolutely shambolic if Ten Hag is sacked, no other manager does this,” a fourth fumed. And another added: “Erik ten Hag is the best manager we’ve had since Sir Alex! Be foolish to let him go!”
Speaking about his future after the game, Ten Hag said: “I’m not satisfied [with two trophies], we have to do better. If they don’t want me anymore, then I’ll go anywhere else to win trophies, because that’s what I’ve done for my whole career.”
Reports from before Saturday’s showpiece suggested that Ten Hag would be sacked – with INEOS looking to head in another direction – even if he won the FA Cup. It wouldn’t be the first time United have pulled this stunt.
Louis van Gaal was dismissed less than 24 hours after he won the FA Cup in 2016.
