Royal fans have taken to X to gush over the moment Prince George was left ‘star-struck’ and beaming by a footballer at the FA Cup final.
The 10-year-old accompanied his dad the Prince of Wales, who is also the President of the Football Association, to Wembley Stadium, yesterday, Saturday, March 25, to watch the match between Manchester United and Manchester City.
The heirs to the throne watched on as United defeated City in a surprising upset, 2-1.

Despite the game not featuring William and George’s favourites Aston Villa, one of the young prince’s football heroes took to the field for the final — ex-Villan and now City star Jack Grealish.
As is royal tradition, the prince had a hand in congratulating and commiserating the finalists as they collected their runners-up and winners medals respectively.
Having kept an impressively professional face throughout each greeting with the star-studded line-ups, George struggled to hide his excitement when shaking Grealish’s hand.
As the young boy shook his hand, his face lit up. As The Telegraph reported the moment: “The Prince’s face broke into a huge smile when he met former Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.”
The adorable moment wasn’t lost on royal fans and City supporters either, who beamed about the meeting on X, with one fan exclaiming “Jack Grealish and his greatest fan — PRINCE GEORGE Look at his sweet smile!”.
One person noted that George “was always so starstruck with Jack” and added: “Hero for young Villa fan. So darling!”
Another commented that they didn’t know who they loved more out of the two, while another said they “couldn’t love” the moment “more”.
Another fan gushed: “Aww what a lovely picture. Prince George has such a cute and beautiful smile! Wonderful to see him meeting one of his favourite players.”
The father and son outing will be one of the few official royal engagements carried out for the time being as the run up to the general election gets underway.
As per procedure, the Royal Family postpone engagements and activities that could appear to steal attention from the election campaign.
