Flight attendant warns passengers to NEVER hit on a crew member

With their perfect make-up and glamorous uniforms, flight attendants often attract admiring glances.

And it’s not uncommon for passengers to go a step further and chat them up.

However, one cabin crew member has revealed that this is never a good idea mid-flight. Tyra, who posts on TikTok using the handle @wheelsupwithtyra, explained in a video to her followers that asking flight attendants out while the aircraft is in the air only makes them ‘uncomfortable’.

She even captioned the post by saying: ‘If you see a cute flight attendant and want to start a conversation: please don’t.’

Luckily, the cabin crew worker, who has spent six years working at ‘40,000 feet’, according to her biography, also noted that there’s one approved way to ‘shoot your shot’.

Tyra, who posts on TikTok using the handle @wheelsupwithtyra, explained in a video to her followers that asking flight attendants out while the aircraft is in the air only makes them ‘uncomfortable’

In the clip, which has gained a whopping 25,000 views since it was posted, Tyra said: ‘Here’s a little 101 tip on how not to hit on a flight attendant.

‘OK, do not hit on a flight attendant in flight… during flight, whatever.

‘Do not do that because you are making it awkward.

‘And, you know what, the flight attendant just has to be nice to you.

‘It’s just a really uncomfortable situation and we do not like that.’

Most would agree this makes sense. After all, just consider that you might not like to be propositioned while working, either.

So is all lost if you fancy a flight attendant? Not quite, as there is a window of opportunity.

Tyra revealed that there is a window of opportunity if you fancy a crew member. She explained: ‘Your best bet is just handing your number over to the flight attendant when you are getting off that plane’

Tyra revealed: ‘If you want to shoot your shot, then your best bet is just handing your number over to the flight attendant when you are getting off that plane.

‘Then you’re not making it awkward and you’re leaving it up to the flight attendant to decide whether or not she wants to text you.’

When one man with the username ‘Darren’ explained in the comment section that he would continue to approach crew members anyway, Tyra replied: ‘It’s just advice, but I’d say chances are higher if you’re considerate of her workspace and shoot your shot once you’re leaving… ‘

Another said he wanted to join the ‘mile high club’ with the flight attendant, to which she said: ‘Hard no.’

When ‘LifeHack MediaTV’ added that he believed she would break the rules for a ‘hot rich celebrity’ Tyra replied: ‘I never said not to shoot your shot, just be respectful and shoot it at the end instead of making it awkward the entire flight… just a suggestion.’

The crew member also noted that she spoke for the ‘majority’ of flight attendants when offering her tip.
