Putin ‘ensures victory’ in Ukraine as he insists on being ‘half-a-step forward’

Mad Vlad reckons ‘victory is guaranteed’ in his war with Ukraine if the Russian military can stay ‘half a step ahead’.

The Russian president told heads of his country’s defence industry enterprises that ‘efficiency increases’ if they accelerate the introduction of modern technologies to improve the army’s arsenal.

Speaking to leaders of the military-industrial complex in Moscow, he said: “I would like to emphasise again: we must be one step ahead all the time, we must be ahead of the enemy all the time, and then victory will be guaranteed.”

He told them that enterprises fulfill state defense order assignments on time and with high quality and for a number of positions – even ahead of schedule.

But he warned that volumes have increased during what he calls ‘the special military operation’ and emphasised the need to build an effective economy of the Armed Forces.

He told them: “You know it yourself. Your specialists and you yourself are always in contact with those of our guys who work on the line of combat contact, fight, not sparing themselves, and protect the interests of Russia.

“As soon as we are ahead by at least half a step, that’s it, efficiency increases multiple times, simply multiple times.”

The meeting was held on Saturday, the same day a Russian strike on a crowded store killed at least 14 people and wounded dozens more in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city.

Two guided bombs hit the Epicentr K DIY hypermarket in a residential area of the city on Saturday afternoon, a day after the city had been hit by two attacks the day before.

European leaders have been urged to tool up to halt World War Three.
