A couple enjoying a gorgeous walk snapped “picturesque” photos of their wander and accidentally found an X-rated detail in the process.
The pair saw the funny side of their sighting in the Brecon Beacons, Wales, and shared it in a post on Reddit’s r/CasualUK forum.
User SenorBigbelly wrote: “Took the missus to Wales for the first time and went walking in the Brecon Beacons. Wonderfully picturesque photo completely ruined by a giant penis-shaped pothole that I only noticed now.”

Fellow forum users flooded in with hilarious comments. Some tried to Photoshop the cheeky pothole out, whereas others made it larger. One user who chose to edit the penis-shaped pothole out of the picture wrote: “Did a quick fix, not the cleanest but didn’t take long either.”
The original poster thanked them for the edit, writing: “Ok that’s pretty genuinely excellent thank you. Part of me was kinda expecting an actual penis photoshopped in there.” Another user joked: “I thought they were going to photoshop out your missus.”
The original poster wrote elsewhere in the thread: “I appreciate people’s genuine wholesome corrections of the photo. Tbh I really just posted it because I find it funny (and got plenty of other good photos).”
Other users made jokes suggesting they had left the imprint while walking through the Brecon Beacons. One said: “Sorry lads, tripped over here back in 2018. Been a lot more careful since.”
Another person said: “The really noticeable part is the pothole has been filled. Wouldn’t happen here in England!” However, a Welsh Reddit user chimed in, revealing this isn’t always the case in Wales either.
They wrote: “Doesn’t happen in Wales either! Usually if a local pothole has been filled, it’s because someone got fed up with waiting for the council to do it and found some spare tarmac or gravel. I’ve seen potholes filled with bricks on their sides to reduce the depth of said holes. A bit like the old brick roads or a driveway. If it works, it’s better than f**king up your exhaust.”
