Has Victoria Beckham finally stopped counting calories?
The former Spice Girl turned fashion designer, 50, has said she has stopped caring about what people think about her looks and loves indulging in wine, despite maintaining a ‘disciplined diet’.
Victoria can be seen showing off her new confident body image on the front cover of Grazia where the mother-of-four looks incredibly toned while wearing a lace bra under an open blazer.
But she admits in the accompanying interview that body insecurities once stopped her ‘watching her children play on the beach’.
She told the publication: ‘I never want to look like I’m complaining, but there were times in the past that I haven’t felt confident enough to sit on a beach and watch my children play.’

The fashion mogul, 50, revealed she hasn’t always been comfortable with her body and said ‘I haven’t felt confident enough to sit on a beach and watch my children play’ (pictured with Brooklyn more than 20 years ago)
Victoria went onto say negative comments ‘don’t bother her now’ and she has become ‘more accepting’ of the way she looks.
The Spice Girl singer explained that she is ‘disciplined’ with her diet though and works out regularly but ‘life is too short’ for calorie counting.
She continued: ‘This is how I look. I’m going to make the best of it, work hard at it. I’m very disciplined with the way that I eat, the way that I work out and the way I work. That’s just who I am.
‘But I do like to have a drink and I’m not going to be one these, “Ah, there are too many calories in a glass of wine” types. Whatever. Life’s too short. Let’s have a nice time.’
Previously Victoria’s husband David has revealed that the mum-of-four has eaten the same dish for 25 years – grilled fish and steamed vegetables.
And while the sportsman likes to get experimental in the kitchen and sample a wide variety of food, he lamented that the health fanatic will ‘rarely deviate’ from her set menu.
Footballer David previously revealed that Spice Girl Victoria has only once tried other food – while pregnant with daughter Harper, 10.
Discussing Victoria’s very specific eating habits on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast, David explained: ‘I get quite emotional about food and wine, when I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it.
‘Unfortunately I’m married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years. Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate from that.’
‘The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing.

‘It was one of my favourite evenings. I can’t remember what it was but I know she’s not eaten it since.’
Victoria previously admitted that she won’t eat food cooked in oil, butter or sauces, and she doesn’t eat red meat or dairy.
Speaking to the same River Cafés Table 4 podcast, the designer said: ‘To most restaurants I’m probably their worst nightmare. I love some steamed vegetables, some balsamic vinegar and then to season myself.
‘I like things to be cooked in a very simple way. I don’t like oils or butters or sauces. This is where I sound even more boring in the food department.’
Victoria also confessed her comfort food was a piece of whole grain toast with salt on it and on her birthday she celebrates with a fruit cake.
In 1999, just two months after welcoming her son Brooklyn, Victoria was forced to weigh herself live on television.
The extraordinary incident happened on Chris Evans’s Channel 4 show TFI Friday and Victoria has since slammed the presenter for forcing her to take part.
Evans told her: ‘A lot of girls want to know, because you look fantastic again, how did you get back to your shape after birth?’
After replying that she was actually really lazy and hadn’t been to the gym at all, the host wouldn’t let up, demanding: ‘Is your weight back to normal?’
When she said it was, he persisted: ‘Can I check, do you mind?’ before getting her to step on to some scales and remarking: ‘Eight stone’s not bad at all, is it?’

The fashion designer has since said: ‘I went on a TV show with Chris Evans many years ago and I’d just had Brooklyn and lost a lot of weight after.
‘It happened to my mum after her pregnancies. It doesn’t mean you have an eating disorder. And he made me stand on the scales to be weighed. Can you imagine doing that nowadays?’
Victoria shares Brooklyn, now 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and daughter Harper, 12 – with her husband David, 49.
The fashion designer stunned on the Grazia cover as she showed off her toned frame in a lace black bralet.
Victoria completed the look with a chic black suit and wore her hair in loose waves over her shoulders.
Elsewhere in the interview Victoria revealed that her daughter Harper created a PowerPoint presentation to try and convince her to let her have a perm.
She told how she created the presentation on the computer and showed it to her and David in the hopes of letting her take a trip to the hairdressers.
Harper has long straight blonde hair and a perm uses chemicals to make naturally straight hair curly.
However despite Harper going to the effort of making the PowerPoint – Victoria admitted that her response to the request was ‘absolutley not’.

Victoria explained her negative response was born from a bad personal experience of having a perm when she was a teenager.
Back in 2022 Victoria shared a snap of her perm as she revealed what she considered to be her ‘teenage dirtbag moments’ as she hopped onto a TikTok trend.
She shared a reel of some of her more unexpected throwback fashion moments, with the Wheatus song, Teenage Dirtbag, played over the top.
The trend saw TikTokers showing off their awkward and embarrassing teenage years and among the pictures Victoria shared were her wearing a silver latex boob tube as well as showing off a giant pout with overlined lips.
She was also sporting an oversized shiny bomber jacket, which were all the rage in the 90s, as well as a giant perm, a sharp contrast to her sleek brunette hairdo.
