Facebook Marketplace vendor will get creepy DM asking about doubtful stains on couch

A man was left gobsmacked after receiving a rather explicit enquiry about a sofa he was giving away on Facebook Marketplace.

Max (@Juicewag on X/Twitter) took a screenshot of the eyebrow-raising DM and posted it, captioned with: “Trying to get rid of a couch today and got this very normal message.” The snapshot displayed the question: “Hi Max, is this still available? Any drinks or j**z stains lol? Have to ask this day and age. I hope a good story if so! Otherwise looks like a solid, comfy couch.”

Max said in a later tweet: “This is blowing up, please come take this couch (there are no stains), I’ll even throw in some beer and a bit of vodka I have left.”

And it seems the same person has been contacting others, as another seller shared a screenshot of a very similar message their pal had received – asking about the same dubious stains on a chair.

When their mate replied though, the person wrote back: “That’s a decent chair. Ha no fun in it ever? That’s a shame, adds character! But that means you’re a better person than me…”

Another befuddled seller vented on X: “I was selling a rug a few months ago in Chicago and got the same message. I think this dude is seeking out j**z stained furniture,” accompanying his frustration with a cry-laugh emoji.

Max confessed that instead of answering the mystery message, he “immediately blocked” the sender as he didn’t fancy responding. Another X user chipped in: “It’s actually insane that 10 years ago I gave away a couch and also got a message like this. What the f**k man “
