Anthony Martial has announced his Man United exit and the French forward looks to have a number of options when it comes to his next club.
Martial took to social media earlier this week to confirm that he would be leaving Old Trafford, bringing his nine years at the club to an end.
Injuries have plagued the Frenchman over recent seasons but that has not deterred potential suitors, according to Sky Sports.
They report that Ligue 1 duo Lyon and Marseille are both interested in acquiring his services this summer.
Martial began his career at Lyon, joining the club at the age of 14.
Three clubs have reportedly registered their interest in signing Anthony Martial
Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas are also said to be contemplating a move for the 28-year-old.
Martial’s contract has been allowed to expire, meaning he is available as a free agent.
Clubs Saudi Arabia, the MLS and Mexico are also believed to be monitoring the situation but the player would prefer to remain in Europe.
In his farewell post on Instagram, Martial wrote: ‘dear Manchester United fans, It’s with great emotion that I write to you today to say goodbye.
‘After nine incredible years at the club, the time has come for me to turn a new page in my career.
The French forward posted an emotional farewell message to supporters earlier this week
‘Since I arrived in 2015, I have had the immense honour of wearing this shirt and playing in front of you, the best supporters in the world! You have been an unwavering support, through the good times and the difficult. Your passion and loyalty have been a constant source of motivation for me.
‘I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you’ve done for me. Your songs, your encouragement and your love for the club are memories that will remain engraved in my heart forever.
‘I would also like to express my gratitude to all my team-mates, technical staff and all the members of the club I have met during my 9 years here. I am proud to have been able to share these experiences with you,’ he continued.
‘Manchester United will always be in my heart. This club has left its mark on my career and offered me an incredible opportunity to play in front of you.
‘I’m leaving to take on new challenges, I’ll always be a Red Devil and I’ll continue to follow the club’s results with passion.
Thank you again for everything, and see you soon. With all my affection, Anthony Martial.’
Martial was adored by United supporters after scoring on his club debut against Liverpool, after joining in an initial £36m transfer from Monaco in 2015.
However, his bright start quickly faded and recurring injuries combined with poor form and criticism over an apparent lack of effort led to United refusing to extend his deal at the club.
