Jamie Carragher already on the beers with Dortmund followers forward of UCL last

Ahead of the Champions League final Jamie Carragher is already revisiting his raucous nights out with Borussia Dortmund fans, and yes, he’s back on the pints.

The ex-Liverpool defender plunged headlong into the vibrant atmosphere at the Signal Iduna Park earlier in the season before Dortmund’s victorious Champions League semi-final bout against Paris Saint-Germain.

He was caught on camera polishing off a pint pre-game and even scored a spot amid Dortmund’s iconic Yellow Wall during the match, although by the full-time whistle Carragher was a bit worse for wear.

Now, as Saturday’s final against Real Madrid at Wembley dawns, Carragher has reunited with his Dortmund buddies once more. CBS, where Carragher works, has published a video of him swigging beer with a yellow scarf slung around his neck.

Fully embracing the Dortmund spirit he even led a themed chant, taunting: “What have you got now, Madrid, what have you got?”, reports the Mirror.

Carragher is hopefully aiming for a slightly less head-pounding experience this time. When asked about how he felt after the semi-final shenanigans, the former Red admitted: “[I was] Hungover. But I loved it, it was on the bucket list I said that going to Borussia Dortmund as a football fan.

“I have never actually been on the Kop and sang You’ll never walk alone but have now done it in the Yellow Wall. To sing You’ll Never Walk Alone and be in their with my new family and friends was something I’ll never forget. It was brilliant, I absolutely loved it.

“When I go next time I am going exactly there, I know where it is and those people are there week after week. Kaiser and Kaiser.”

Carragher’s previous drinking antics got him in trouble with PSG boss Luis Enrique. The Spaniard refused to do an interview with CBS due to his post-match attire.

“In all seriousness, he’s in the sin bin,” Manchester United icon Peter Schmeichel revealed. “Seriously, he’s upset every person here. First of all, we were supposed to have Luis Enrique.

“And he came in and said, ‘hello’ and then he left because Jamie was wearing a Dortmund scarf. Then because we took Jadon Sancho in, the press officer from Dortmund got a bit cross with us because that was not on the list. We’ve been very naughty. And I hope it’s been good content.”

Carragher also left fans in stitches for a boozy interview with on-loan Man United star Jadon Sancho after the game. The Kop legend will be a part of CBS’ coverage of the final, joined by regular co-pundits Micah Richards and Roy Keane.
