Newlyweds’ romantic Vegas honeymoon ruined as bride finally ends up ‘knocked out’ in mattress

Newlyweds on their dream trip to Las Vegas found quarantine instead of celebration after they contracted Covid-19, derailing their honeymoon plans.

Taking to Reddit’s WellThatSucks subreddit, the disgruntled groom explained: “My wife and I got Covid on our honeymoon. Several months of planning and a few thousand spent only to be stuck in our hotel in Vegas for half our time there.”

In response to a suggestion the duo could make the most of their confinement by being intimate the entire time, he replied his new wife was sadly “knocked out for the rest of the trip”.

Sympathy followed from the online community, as another user penned: “That really, really sucks, and I hope you both make a full and speedy recovery! And, I think at some point in the future, y’all owe yourselves a do over trip. See all the sights you had to miss out on during your honeymoon, play some slots or whatever you’re into, eat at nice places, catch some shows, take side trips to look at the breathtaking desert scenery.”

Another person with a similar ‘honeymoon curse’ added: “This sucks so much! Happened to me and my ex on our honeymoon in 2021. It’s the only time we got Covid and of course it was on a $10,000 trip. Hope you two feel better soon!”

And a third saw a silver lining, quipping: “You’re definitely testing out the ‘in sickness’ part of the marriage vows early! Hope you both feel better soon.”

Meanwhile one person chimed in: “So I’m not at all trying to be funny or political or any of that but it’s seriously been a long time since I’ve known of anyone with Covid symptoms. You have some bad luck my man. Hope you guys get well.”

The groom hit back saying: “Appreciate the kind words. Seems like I dared to mention Covid and all the right wingers and assorted antivaxxers came out like fruit flies. I just wanted to know why my wife wasn’t feeling well and I can pick up a Covid test down the street from our hotel. Nothing more to it.”
