Serial streaker Mark Roberts once stormed onto centre court during the French Open – with just tennis balls to protect his modesty.
Back in 2003, Juan Carlos Ferrero was having a fairytale run to the final of Roland Garros when he came up against Martin Verkerk – who was also experiencing the run of a lifetime.
And as the pair took to the clay, Roberts, from Liverpool, dropped his clothes and ran onto the court. Roberts had “The balls make me do it,” emblazoned across his chest as security tried to catch the streaker.

Juan Carlos Ferrero would win his maiden – and only – Grand Slam after the commotion had died down. It wouldn’t be the last the world had heard of Roberts, however, and his streaking antics have earned him worldwide fame.
Roberts famously took to field during Super Bowl XXXVIII between Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots. “I’ve never been so scared in my life,” he admitted speaking to Daily Star Sport.

Recalling the thoughts that were racing through his mind, he continued: “If I go on, one of the players might clothesline me, break my neck. It was not long after 9/11, so there’s gonna be snipers on the roofs.
“I thought, they’re going to see me. They’ll look, they’re gonna know I’m not holding anything. I’m gonna be naked. So they might shoot me in the leg to take me down.
“I thought, OK, I can handle that. And I was prepared to take a bullet in the leg to do Super Bowl.”
