It was one of the most highly anticipated shows of 2024, and after waiting more than two years for Bridgerton season 3, it seems fans have not been left disappointed by the latest instalment, which pulled in 45 million viewers in just four days after landing on Netflix on May 16.
In fact, many viewers of the Shondaland series have revealed just how positive the third season has been for their sex lives – with one woman claiming she fell pregnant after watching episode four’s steamy carriage scene.
The racy moment in question sees Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) finally get intimate with one another whilst riding in the back of a carriage together – and it seems many people have been rewinding the raunchy scene and watching it over and over again.
Taking to Reddit, one impressed viewer admitted: ‘This season has done wonders for my marriage,’ before adding: ‘Anyone else? My hubby is quite pleased. I told him he’s in for it once part 2 is released. Thank you Polin,’ referring to the couple’s nickname.
And it seems they’re not the only ones who have been spending more time in the bedroom since tuning in, as many other women took to the Reddit thread to share their own positive experiences.

One woman wrote: ‘I think my husband would agree. I’m not even kidding when I say I got a positive pregnancy test two weeks after watching the carriage scene (all good things lol). But be careful after part 2 y’all.’
A different person replied and joked: ‘Congrats! I got pregnant right before, probably from all the anticipation,’ while another said: ‘Congrats!!! We’re a bit older (mid-40’s and done with babies) but it’s been a nice refresher for us.’
Someone else divulged: ‘Idk (I don’t know) if this is crass but me and the hubs had an excellent go at it after finishing E4. I was shocked. I guess this season is really great for marriages.’
A different woman had a very similar experience and explained: ‘Same with me, last entire weekend was full of sexy times, we canceled all other plans, did Uber Eats for food, and did not do even a single house chore.
‘By sunday night, my husband was like u have made me so sore coz u wanted to just keep going lol. I swear this has never happened on this level before. He is very thankful for bridgerton. And he is super invested, too. He has seen the carriage scene at least 10 times with me (sic).’
Another viewer was in agreement and teased: ‘Yes, Bridgerton has done wonderful things for my relationship also. I’m really needy a lot more. I’m afraid for PT 2 and for my boyfriend. He won’t survive it.’
Someone else revealed: ‘Hehe, husband said to watch as much Bridgerton as I wanted after that carriage scene. Lol,’ while another fan admitted: ‘I caved and called my ex.’
However, it’s not just married couples who have been feeling more frisky since tuning in – as singletons have been enjoying the scenes too, as one person admitted: ‘I mean I’m single but let’s just say I’ve been recharging batteries at a much quicker rate than before since it all started.’

The first half of season 3 ends on somewhat of a racy cliffhanger as the pair finally get up, close and personal
Viewers are eagerly awaiting part two of season three, with another four episodes dropping on Netflix on June 13 – and no doubt, they’re hoping there will be even more steamy sex scenes.
A teaser trailer released earlier this week hints at plenty more drama to come, with tensions set to rise between the new couple because as their friends-to-lovers story pans out, Penelope battles to keep Lady Whistledown a secret amid her engagement to Colin.
The trailer begins with the ton receiving the news that Colin is betrothed to Penelope, with many reacting in shock.
‘I have always loved you Colin. There is nothing that makes me happier than being with you,’ Penelope tells him.
Although their romance has finally blossomed, one problem persists as Colin’s sister Eloise threatens to spill Penelope’s secret.
‘You have not told him that you are Lady Whistledown?’ Eloise asks as Penelope hits back: ‘Colin cannot find out the truth, Whistledown is power.’
Eloise then threatens: ‘If you cannot reveal it to him yourself, then I will reveal it to him myself.’
At one point, Penelope’s mother tells her: ‘Your duty is to cater to Mr Bridgerton’s dreams,’ as she asks her: ‘What about my dreams?’ to which she responds: ‘Ladies do not have dreams. They have husbands.’
The dramatic teaser trailer ends with Lady Whistledown declaring: ‘Gossip as I might, this author cannot tolerate a lie,’ as Penelope gives Colin a panicked glance from across the room.
