Matt Le Tissier’s household life after daughter-in-law dubbed ‘black sheep’ in snap

It was the perfect weekend for Matt Le Tissier – his beloved Southampton got promoted and the sun was shining.

And while we can’t confirm whether fellow Saints fan Rishi Sunak used human weather modification on the day, we do know Le Tissier was in attendance at Wembley (according to the pictures at least).

Posting on X, the retired footballer and former Sky Sports pundit, 55, wrote: “Lovely to bring the family to the play off final. Up the Saints.”

But the ambassador for Supreme CBD was trolled by social media users who responded in their droves by asking where his daughter-in-law was.

Seeing what was happening, adult star Alex Le Tissier, 32, later wrote: “It’s fun being the black infamous sheep of the family sometimes.”

Below, we take a closer look at Le Tissier’s family life, and explore what led to such a public falling out.

Le Tissier married his childhood sweetheart, Cathy, in 1990 before they got a divorce seven years later. The pair had two children together, Mitch and Keeleigh. After the split Cathy and the kids, then five and 21 months, returned to Guernsey.

He met current wife, Angela, in a nightclub in Southampton in 1996 and he later appeared alongside her on the ITV quiz show Mr and Mrs.

Matt and Angela spoke about their relationship on an ITV game show

“There was a very strong instant connection,” he said. “There were no mobile phones in those days. I knew her name and that she was a Southampton Football Club season ticket holder.

“So I went to the office, wrote a note and left it on her seat for her to find when she came to the next home game.” He added: “I’ve never met anyone else that I would want to spend the rest of my living days with.”

An equally besotted Angela added: “I love Matthew so much. He is my world. He is an amazing father and my best friend.”

The pair had a daughter together, Ava, who was pictured alongside Matt at the recent Southampton game. And this photo brings us on to his family feud with son, Mitch, and daughter-in-law, Alex.

Mitch and Alex have known each other since school and the married couple have four children together.

But in 2022, the Daily Star reported how Alex was supposedly cast aside after she started an OnlyFans page to help feed the family.

They were considering using foodbanks at the time because of financial difficulties, but she claimed Matt told her she was a “bad mum” before claiming she was asked to use a different surname on her public profiles.

Matt refused to comment publicly but Alex told us: “I was most disappointed with his family’s reaction. They were not very nice about it. They asked me not to use my name and for a while I didn’t.

“At the time it was really hurtful. Prior to being married I kind of had built up my own – I don’t want to say fanbase – but my own little following on Instagram.

“I don’t have millions but I had 25,000 followers and that was all from blogging and I used to do influencer things around Southampton and that was before I got married. So I felt like I had built up my little platform without the name.

“Unless you knew us both already nobody knew I was dating Matt Le Tissier’s son because I’m just not that person. It was hurtful that a narrative was spun that I was using the name to gain clout and the money.”

Le Tissier’s son meanwhile, Mitch, told the Sun on Sunday at the time that he had not spoken to his dad or stepmum in over a year.

He explained that he did not expect them to agree with Alex’s saucy career but was disappointed with how they handled it.

And speaking to the Daily Star earlier this year, Mitch said he would have been ‘dead’ if it was not for his wife’s sexy job.

The 31-year-old said he suffered a mental breakdown after losing four jobs in seven months. He was unable to cope with the pressures of daily life and turned to binge drinking and gambling to escape reality.

His declining mental health also took a battering in the pandemic when he realised he didn’t have the means to pay for rent or food for his family.

It was during this time when Alex began making racy content and he told us: “It is not an exaggeration to say Alex has saved my life.

“I think I would be dead if she had not started an OnlyFans. Bizarrely it has been a big part of my recovery because it took the pressure off in that I was not having to be somewhere at 9am every morning and I was able to recover at my own pace.

“It also released the financial pressure valve which then enabled me to have the space to get myself together. I really do think if… I don’t know what I would have done; I really don’t know what I would have done.

“I wasn’t capable of working and I was doing some part time football coaching which was good for me because I was outside working with kids and it was enjoyable but that wasn’t going to make enough money at that time to feed my family and pay my rent.”

Alex and Mitch both say they are now in a much better place both financially and mentally, but their falling out with Matt does not look like being resolved any time soon.

After the Wembley photo went viral along with her “black sheep” comment, Alex clarified: “I wasn’t complaining about not being at Wembley.

“You could offer me a lifetime supply of flaming hot Cheetos I still wouldn’t go. The black sheep tweet was me poking fun at all the banter ppl were slinging at him.”
