The How I Met Your Mother actor caught trying to flee to Mexico after allegedly stabbing his makeup artist girlfriend more than 20 times is banged up in a small-town Texas jail and is still awaiting extradition back to California, DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal.
Nick Pasqual, 34, was charged with attempted murder, burglary and domestic violence in connection with the horror attack on Allie Shehorn, 35, in the early hours of May 23.
Although LA District Attorney George Gascon has vowed the actor will be brought back to the Golden State to face the music, DailyMail.com can reveal that he is still in the Hudspeth County Jail in remote Sierra Blanca, Texas, and no date for transfer proceedings has been set.
A source said: ‘He’s still here and no extradition date has been set yet. He’ll be here until he goes back to LA but we haven’t heard anything yet.’
On Tuesday, a spokeswoman for Gascon’s office said: ‘The defendant has not been extradited to LA County from Texas. There is no arraignment date scheduled as of today.’

Allie Shehorn, 35, a Hollywood makeup artist, was stabbed, allegedly by Pasqual who was later arrested in Texas trying to cross the Mexican border
Sierra Blanca is a tiny city of just 315 people according to the 2020 census and is located 16 miles from the Mexican border.
Pasqual was apprehended approximately 35 miles from the Hudspeth County seat while trying to flee into Chihuahua across the Fort Hancock International Bridge.
Last week, Gascon described the brutal attack as ‘heinous’ and said he would make the actor pay for his alleged crimes.
He said: ‘This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the individual responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.’
Shehorn, a successful makeup artist, is still recovering from the attack in hospital but is making progress and has been moved out of the ICU.
According to the most recent update on the GoFundMe page set up to support her through her recovery, friends said she is ‘making positive steps’ towards healing.
Close friend Jed Dornoff added: ‘It’s still a very long road but she is facing it with courage and determination.’
Donations for Shehorn have been flooding in since news of the horror attack broke last week with more than $110,000 raised towards her care.

The LA make-up artist was granted a temporary restraining order from her ex-boyfriend three days before the attack
DailyMail.com previously revealed that Shehorn had suffered months of abuse at Pasqual’s hands and took out a restraining order against him on May 18 after an incident that saw him allegedly bash her head against the floor and attempt to break down a door in their Sunland home.
On that occasion, according to the make-up artist, Pasqual became angry at around 3am ‘and started yelling and screaming at me, which happens when he’s under the influence’.
She went on: ‘He slapped me across the face and as I was trying to get away down the hallway, he grabbed my hair and pulled me back and I slammed into the floor hitting the back of my head on the ground.’
Shehorn says she attempted to hide in the bedroom of ‘surrogate mother’ Christine White, 62, who shared the former couple’s home and was the one to find Shehorn ‘bleeding out’ after the stabbing attack.
Pasqual – who appeared on How I Met Your Mother in 2005 and starred in the movie Poor Paul in 2023 – then allegedly tried to batter the door down and when she unlocked it, shoved it against her causing her to fall to the ground and hit her head again.
According to Shehorn, the incident left her with concussion while Pasqual went on to threaten White as she dialed 911.
Pasqual starred in the 2023 movie Poor Paul alongside Adam Carbone and Abhi Sinha
Although the brute was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence according to LAPD booking records, he was able to bond out of jail the same day – leaving him free to attack Shehorn again three days later.
According to Shehorn’s application for a restraining order, Pasqual also allegedly attacked her on a number of other occasions: hitting her with a belt on January 29, breaking down several doors in their home on March 6 and raping and choking her on April 14.
Shehorn added: ‘He has been violent in the past but never physically with me apart from two nights where he ripped clothes off of me [sic].’
In the application, the special effects make-up artist also asked for protection for White and also for the couple’s white husky-mix dog Riley.
A hearing over whether to make the temporary restraining order permanent had been scheduled on June 11 in Pasadena while Pasqual was due to appear in court on a felony charge in San Fernando on June 12.
