Harry ‘having nightmare’ making an attempt to organise name with dad Charles, claims professional

Prince Harry is reportedly facing a “nightmare” as he grapples with arranging a Father’s Day call with King Charles, according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex relocated from the UK four years ago, swapping the drizzly British climate for sunny Montecito, California. Alongside his wife Meghan Markle, the pair stepped back from their senior royal duties just months prior to their move.

Since leaving his homeland, Prince Harry has made only a few trips back to the UK. This year, for instance, he has returned just twice.

Harry flew back to England in February after hearing about his father’s cancer diagnosis – during this quick visit the Duke spent roughly 30 minutes with his dad. He then came back last month for an Invictus Games event at St Paul’s Cathedral but did not have a chance to meet with the King due to clashing schedules, reports the Mirror.

Royal author and expert Tom Quinn said Harry is facing a nightmare as Father’s Day looms. Speaking to The Mirror, Quinn revealed: “King Charles’ birthday and Father’s Day are both a nightmare for Harry. He knows the world will be watching to see whether he is big enough to reach out to his father.

“He is determined to try to ignore his troubled relationship with his father and he will certainly send a warm message. It’s easy to forget that Harry really does love his father, he just hates the fact that Charles seems always to support William when there is a family dispute.”

Quinn further claimed “Harry has tried to schedule a call with his father already, but his father is prevaricating with Camilla advising against anything that might upset King Charles”.

Father’s Day is on June 16, followed by the King’s birthday on June 17, and his official birthday – the day he was born – is on November 14, when he’ll turn 76.

The Mirror reached out to Prince Harry’s representatives for comment.
