Tennis’ young prince has staked his claim for the throne as Carlos Alcaraz won his first Roland Garros on Sunday evening.
Alcaraz, 21, beat Alexander Zverev to rewrite the history books and become the the youngest man to win Grand Slam titles on all three surfaces. And with all that success has come quite the prize purse.
Ahead of Sunday’s final, Alcaraz’s net worth was around $15million (£11.82m), according to Sportskeeda. And across his playing career he has bagged $24.5million (£19.31m) in prize money – largely thanks to ATP tournaments.

The most recent, Sunday’s win, saw him pocket $2.61million (£2.06m). The French Open has a bigger prize pot than the Australian Open – but it still trails the US Open and Wimbledon.
Alcaraz also tops up his net worth with a number of endorsement deals which include Nike and Babolat for his apparel and equipment needs respectively. Other endorsements are Rolex, El Pozo, BMW, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, and ISDIN.

“Winning a Grand Slam is always special, but here in Roland Garros, knowing all the Spanish players who have won here, to put my name on that list is unbelievable,” Alcaraz said.
“I dreamt to be in this position since I started playing tennis and I was five or six years old.”
He then added his plans for a tattoo to immortalise the moment: “It will be on the left ankle – the Eiffel Tower and today’s date. I have to find time but I will do it for sure.”
Alcaraz is now looking to defend his Wimbledon crown in SW19 this summer – and he will then turn his attention to the Olympic Games.
The courts of Roland Garros will be used again this summer as the festival of sport rocks up in the French capital.
