A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a voyeurism offence during a show on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
Pop superstar Taylor Swift performed a three-day stint at Murrayfield in Edinburgh over the weekend, and Police Scotland confirmed that there had been just one arrest out of 200,000 people during the mega event.
Police confirmed that a 64-year-old was arrested, charged and released – and will appear at the Edinburgh Sherrif Court at a later date.
Superintendent David Happs said: “A 64-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a voyeurism offence committed within Murrayfield during the event on Saturday, June 8.

“He was released on an undertaking to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.”
In the UK in April 2019, the Voyeurism (Offences) Act 2019 came into force, which added 2 new offences to the Sexual Offences Act 2003 to cover the intrusive behaviour of ‘upskirting’.
Such an action has been a criminal offence in Scotland since 2010, due to the wider definition given to voyeurism. There is no suggestion the arrested man has committed this offence.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Swift said: “Edinburgh! You truly blew me away this weekend.
“Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland three times in a row and for all the ways you made us feel right at home.
“Love you, all 220,000 of you!”
The award-winning singer-songwriter was supported by American rock group Paramore.
Swift will next perform at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, before later UK dates in Cardiff and London.
