Owners of a UK pub attempted to shame a group of four dine and dashers who gorged themselves on sandwiches, chips and garlic break before legging it.
The proprietors of the Pen Y Bont Farm pub in Mold, Flintshire, north Wales, were furious after the group racked up a £63 bill at their table, but ran out of the pub before paying.
They should have checked for cameras first, because the pub owners quickly uploaded CCTV footage of the incident, complete with descriptions of the dine-and-dashers.

They put the video on Facebook, adding: “Pub Warning Alert. We’d like to bring your attention to a group of individuals who recently visited our fine establishment with the sole intention of dining and dashing.
“That’s right, folks – they came, they ate, and they tried to leave without paying their £63 bill! But fear not, dear patrons, for we have the evidence to back up our claims. Our trusty CCTV cameras captured the culprits in the act, and we’ve got a copy of the bill to prove it.”
To stress the point that they are searching for these people, they added an alliterative note which said: “We’re on the lookout for these penny-pinching pilferers, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on our efforts to bring them to justice.”
This comes after serial dine and dashers, Bernard and Ann McDonagh, were caught in a police raid on their home. They had racked up thousands of pounds in bills across five restaurants with no intention of ever paying. Similarly to these dashers, the McDonaghs were caught after CCTV evidence of them skipping out on the bill went viral.
They were jailed after dining and dashing at five restaurants and walking out on £1,000 worth of bills.
