The 31-year old wrestler shot to fame in Scotland before moving to join the WWE in America where she wrestles under the name “Alba Fyre.” She is one half of the wrestling duo “Unholy Union” alongside co-star Isla Dawn. She also holds the record for the longest reign as the NXT UK Women’s Champion in WWE’s history.

Her wrestling life continues outside of the ring too, as she has been married to fellow Scottish pro-wrestler Stephen Kerr, better known as Stevie Boy, since 2021.

She has asked her legions of fans for privacy during this terrible time. Tributes have poured in from across her fan-base including from her small town roots, as people who knew her mother have been quick to memorialise her and commemorate her spirit.

Her father, who was with Bridgeen when she was hit by the car, said: “I can’t come to terms with what has happened to us. I am struggling but we are strong people together and my aim in life now is to carry on being strong for the rest of our family the way Bridgeen would have. My world has been ripped apart.”

So far Kayleigh has not commented on the future of her career. The WWE broadcasts to more than 180 countries in 30 languages, and has over 10 million dedicated fans in the US alone. The highest paid female wrestler in the WWE is rumoured to make around $3million (£2.35m) annually.
