Meghan Markle’s friendship circle is said to be getting smaller . . . and smaller, says an ex-royal butler.
Ex-I’m a Celeb contestant Paul Burrell has insisted that the former Suits actress, who used to rub shoulders with Hollywood’s elite, now finds her friend list decreasing dramatically as her A-list pals are “dropping like flies”.
This comes as Meghan and her husband Prince Harry were notably absent from what was dubbed the “social event of the year,” the recent nuptials of Hugh Grosvenor, the seventh Duke of Westminster. The guest list was heavily populated with well-known personalities, including Harry’s brother, Prince William, reports the Mirror.

Burrell, who previously served as Princess Diana’s butler, claimed in a chat with Closer!: “Harry and Meghan’s circle is getting smaller and smaller. I think the A-list stars are dropping like flies. Some already have done – Oprah no longer seems involved with them and some other celebrities have also dropped them.
“Back in the day, the A-listers were riding on the moment – Harry and Meghan were the most popular couple in the country at one time, when they got married, but there’s since been a decline.”
Burrell continued, suggesting that Americans are beginning to view the Sussexes as a “side show”. This statement comes as icons such as George Clooney and his wife Amal, as well as Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, have supposedly rejected recent invites from the couple.
These cold shoulders echo rumours of David and Victoria Beckham being snubbed by Meghan.
Despite the rumours, it’s believed that Meghan has established a tight-knit circle of celebrity friends, including actresses, fashion designers, stylists, pilates buddies and polo players’ wives. When she launched her first product from her American Riviera Orchard brand, the Duchess received support from several famous faces who promoted the product online.
Those lucky enough to receive the limited edition samples of her jam flaunted the petite jars with handwritten labels featuring the American Riviera Orchard logo and ‘Montecito’ underneath. The labels also indicated which jar it was out of 50, suggesting the batch of jam was a small production run.
