A model who invited men to apply to be her boyfriend is yet to find love, despite being inundated with applications.
Vera Dijkmans took to TikTok in a bid to take control over her hapless love life. But despite the surge on interest from potential suitors, the influencer still hasn’t found her Mr Right. Of the 5,000 fellas who applied last year, Vera said only three matched up for her standards.
“I’d say I received around 5,000 applications but after going through most of them, I found just three guys who I thought were suitable,” said Vera, who has over 7m social media followers.

“I went on a date with them but I’m currently still single.
“Despite this disappointing result, I still consider the experiment a success since I was able to be upfront of what I want and see which men fit that criteria.”
Vera, who lives in London, admitted she had to filter through “quite a lot of strange applications.”
“One man offered to send me a sample of his blood and asked for mine in return which I ignored.
“I also had a famous person slide into my DMs. I can’t say who it is but I definitely didn’t expect it!
“Most of the applicants were from Texas and a lot of them had the Aquarius star sign.”
In a video uploaded at the start of her hunt last year, the model, who has never been in a long-term relationship unveiled what she included on her questionnaire.
She wanted to know if her prospective partner lives with his parents, has current “booty calls” and if he owns a car.
She also revealed her ideal man should be funny, have good taste in music, his own income and enjoy watching cartoons.

One man told her he lives with his parents and doesn’t have a car, but owns two boats, while another suitor promised never to hit on Vera’s friends.
A fellow competitor boasted a full-time career but refused to give her the bigger closet.
While Vera enjoyed the challenge, she has decided to go offline in her search for love from now on.
She said: “I wouldn’t do another application process online.
“If I do it again, I will probably make it a real life event.”
She added: “At the moment, I’ve put the boyfriend search on hold but I’m keeping my options open.
“I’m just very picky and I need a guy to be almost perfect.
“I don’t think I should have to compromise on my needs I’d rather be single until I find the man I’m meant to be with.”
