Daily Star’s World War 3 survival information as Indian Nostradamus says it is tomorrow

With World War 3 seemingly just 24 hours away – according to Indian Nostradamus – many Brits will be wondering how they can best try to survive what could be the start of our final days.

The Daily Star reported how “New Nostradamus” Kushal Kumar, who claims to be an astrologer who predicts world events, recently told how tensions would rise between Israel and Hamas, both side of Korea, China and Taiwan and Russia and NATO.

Although some would say these were blindingly obvious open goals, Kumar used the Vedic astrology chart to do so. For the unaware, the chard is based in Hindu culture, and is supposed to be a “map of our karma” using planetary and star alignment.

Stock up, because war will go on for a while

He claimed that the war was due to start on June 18 – tomorrow – and reiterated that same claim on Friday. And having spent the entire weekend panicking about it, the Daily Star decided to find out how, if at all, we could survive.

Turning to Google’s large-language model chat board called Gemini, formerly Bard, we asked the artificial intelligence-powered software what we could do first to increase our changes of survival.

War, what is it good for? Preparing guides, apparently

It came up with five things – follow official instructions from the UK government, assemble an emergency and survival kit, develop a plan around sheltering yourself and your loved ones, make sure you stay informed, and always have batteries or charging packs ready to go.

Several key survival skills are needed

And for those wondering what a survival and emergency kit should contain, it listed:

  • Non-perishable food: A three-day supply of canned food, energy bars, and dried fruits is recommended.

  • Water: Aim for at least three litres of water per person per day.

  • First-aid kit: Ensure it includes bandages, plasters, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any essential medications.

  • Sanitation items: Include soap, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, and feminine hygiene products.

  • Battery-powered radio: This will allow you to stay informed during emergencies.

  • Torch: A wind-up torch is a good option as it eliminates the need for batteries.

  • Cash: Having some cash on hand can be helpful in case of power outages or disruptions to electronic transactions.

Some important tools are also going to be needed

It also gave some handy tips for the best places to shelter. Gemini said: “The best place to shelter in your home during an emergency is an interior room on a lower floor, away from windows and exterior walls. This will provide some protection from falling debris and blasts. If you live in a high-rise building, the ground floor might not be the safest option due to the risk of flooding from burst pipes. In such cases, a higher floor might be preferable.”

And for the best ways of surviving the first 90 days of war, Gemini added that there are another five things we need to know – water purification, stockpiling of food, learning basic survival skills, security and forming a community.

So, when the war is 90 days old and you’re alive . . . make sure you thank to good ol’ Daily Star.
