Euro 2024 is starting to kick into full swing, but the eyes of Premier League managers might not be on Germany today.
The Premier League has announced its 2024/25 fixture list, with Manchester United, who will have Erik ten Hag in the dugout, getting the ball rolling on Friday, August 16 as they welcome Fulham to Old Trafford.
Manchester City’s trip to Chelsea is the pick of the opening weekend, taking place on Sunday, August 18. And Liverpool, even without Jurgen Klopp, have been handed the lunchtime kick-off on the first Saturday of the season against new-boys Ipswich on August 17.

Last season’s top two, City and Arsenal, will first meet on matchday five (September 21) when the Gunners travel up north to the Etihad Stadium. Their reverse fixture comes on February 1, 2025 as part of a tough run of games for the defending champions.
City face Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Liverpool and then Tottenham in a five week period.

The first North London derby of the season also comes early doors as Tottenham and Arsenal square off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 14. They will then resume their battle at the Emirates Stadium on January 14.
Liverpool and Everton will have to wait until December for the first Merseyside derby of the season – taking place at Goodison Park on December 7. While their reverse fixture is at Anfield on April 2.
The Reds’ clashes with Pep Guardiola’s City have often been the main event of most of the recent Premier League campaigns. And before their clash in City’s horror-run, Liverpool and City meet at Anfield on November 30.

However, it might be the other side of Manchester that Liverpool are worried about as they face the Red Devils at Old Trafford on matchday three on August 31, a challenging start to the season for new manager Arne Slot. Anfield will then play host to the reverse fixture on January 4.
City and United will first play on September 28 at Old Trafford, before they clash at the Etihad on December 14.
The Prem isn’t just about the big boys, and aside from Ipswich’s clash with Liverpool, the other two promoted sides (Leicester and Southampton) face Spurs and Newcastle respectively on the opening weekend.
