Wayne Lineker is facing a rising wave of resentment as Ibiza locals branded him a “buffoon’ who is “destroying” the Spanish island.
Island residents are growing tired of the ageing party enthusiast, who is a poster boy for the type of bawdy, laddish tourism the Balearic Islands have become fed up with.
The 62-year-old, made his millions by cashing in on his famous family name to set up a string of well-known party venues on the island, and is regularly seen drunk and partying with women in their 20s and 30s.

In an Ibiza protest Facebook group, islanders slagged off a post that described Wayne as the “King of Ibiza”, MailOnline reports.
One person wrote: “The only thing ‘kingly’ about this man is that all the locals of San Antonio hate his loud castle!
“It’s incomprehensible how it is allowed to have music at full volume all day.”
Another group member accused Wayne of “destroying the island”, while another person wrote: “What is clear is that if this man and his businesses went elsewhere, the lives of the Ibiza people would be the same or better than under the reign of this buffoon.”
It comes as the businessman was knocked out cold in a street attack. The loaded lothario was reportedly reportedly unconscious for six minutes, yet Ibiza locals didn’t rush to condemn the attack.
In fact, the nightclub mogul was balled out by one of Ibiza’s politicians who argued Wayne only had himself to blame.
The leader of the local Socialist Party, Antonio Lorenzo slammed Wayne as a “victim of his own brand of excess and drunkenness”.
He went on: “This will not be solved with more security measures; it will be solved with a change of the tourism model.”
Following his smack-down, Wayne had jacked up his personal security it is understood, as Balearic Island residents continue to protest against ‘overtourism’.
Estranged from his footballer brother, Gary, Wayne, who still parties hard as he moves closer to retirement, owns several late night establishments, with some staying open until 5am every day of the week.
Also in Wayne’s club empire is O Beach Ibiza, an infamous pool party venue at the has seen the likes of Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi and Maya Jama walk through its doors.
